Description: Our Bountiful Summer Share brings you the best of all things local this summer! This share gives you a Half Summer Share + 8 weeks of local, grass fed cheese + 8 weeks of local grown mushrooms + additional local grown foods, to be announced throughout the season. Perfect for individual veggie lovers or households of 2.

Half Share Box: Your Summer Half Share box contains 6 to 11 different vegetables and herbs depending on the time during the season. Late June and through mid-July you will have cucumbers, broccoli, summer squash, carrots, beets, cabbage, and greens like salad mix, kale, collards, and swiss chard. Late summer the boxes will bulk up with tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, beets, eggplant, winter squash, and many others. Almost every box through the season will have some kind of cooking green (kale, swiss chard, collards, bok choy or cabbage), root crop (potato, carrot, beets), and an herb (cilantro, dill, parsley).

Cheese: The Farmstead Cheese Share is made by Turnip Rock Farm’s dairy, Cosmic Wheel Creamery. Turnip Rock Farm is located in Clear Lake, WI- just down the road from two of Shared Ground owner-member farms Whetstone Farm and Cala Farm. Turnip Rock milks 10 Jersey cows seasonally and feeds them 100% grass. The cheese in the share will have been made when the cows are grazing on green grass and aged for a minimum of 60 days. Look forward to wedges of Manchego, Tomme, Grueyere, Jack, Gouda, and a few of Cosmic Wheel’s original cheeses! You will also occasionally receive fresh cheeses such as Feta, Ricotta, and Quark. The cheese is truly artisan, not mass-produced.

Mushrooms: Cherry Tree House Mushrooms grows delicious, fresh log grown mushrooms right here in the Twin Cities. Every other week, for 9 weeks, you will receive ¼ pound of mushrooms with a special gift of a jar of mushroom spread or butter at the end! Look forward to seeing shiitake, oyster, lion’s mane, and other cultivated and foraged mushrooms like hen of the woods and chicken of the woods.
