CSA Cooking Classes

Shared Ground is excited to be able to offer FREE cooking classes for all CSA members again this summer! These classes, taught by CSA member Grace Chou, are a great way to meet other members and get the most out of your CSA share.
All classes will held at City Food Studio, 3722 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis.Cooking classes are free for Shared Ground CSA members, but space is limited so register early!

Knife Skills & Prep Techniques
Saturday, July 8, 1:30-3:30pm

Learning how to cook vegetables means first learning how to prepare them.  Join us for an introductory class on knife basics and learn how to prepare your box of vegetables for just about any dish, including some uncooked snacks to enjoy in class. 

Greens, Greens and More Greens!
Saturday, August 5, 1:30-3:30pm

The dog days of summer means more hearty greens than you know what to do with.  Come learn how to prepare greens raw, sautéed, and braised, with samples to be enjoyed during class.  We'll also talk about how to keep and use greens throughout the winter.

Canning and Storing
Saturday, September 16, 1:30-3:30pm

With the summer growing season coming to an end, this class will demonstrate and discuss the basics of pickling, fermenting, canning, storing, and freezing all of that great summer produce to be enjoyed throughout the cold months ahead.
